Peaches and cream pie recipe

peaches and cream pie

Peaches are in season right now and they are juicy and delicious. This peaches and cream pie is so delicious that my husband kept asking me how many calories was he consuming.   Well, I don’t really know the exact calorie count, but I can tell you that it isn’t a diet food. Then again it’s a holiday weekend so lighten somewhere else and enjoy a slice. Every so often we have to splurge don’t you think? And as they say, anything in moderation. You don’t need to add any whipped cream to this pie because it is in the pie!

Recipe:

Peaches and cream pie:

Ingredients:

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 cups peaches peeled and sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 F. Mix sugar and flour together and sprinkle 1/3 of the mixture into the pie shell. Add the peaches. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar/flour mixture. Pour heavy cream over the top making sure all the peaches are covered. Bake for 60 minutes. Serve cold. Makes 6-8 servings.
