I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make a simple Christmas wreath attachment with the Bowdabra. This versatile design can be added to an 18-inch to 24-inch holiday wreath form, making it easy to customize your holiday décor. Best of all, no hot glue is required!
Supplies:
* Large Bowdabra
* Bowdabra Bow Wire
* 18”–24” wreath form
* Small fern bush
* 1 evergreen pick or stem
* 2 magnolia leaf stems
* 1 poinsettia, pine, and berry pick or stem
* 3 picks or stems of green berries
* 1 evergreen and red berry pick
* 3 yards of 5.5-inch wide wired ribbon
* 3 yards of 2.5-inch wide wired sheer ribbon
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, add the foliage, noting that one side will be the top and the other side the bottom. Bend the stem to hook to the Bowdabara as you add it. Continue adding the magnolia foliage.
Now, add the floral bush. Add the 5″ wide ribbon tails, which have been dovetailed.
Next, using the same 5″ wide ribbon, find the center, scrunch together, and place in the Bowdabra. Bring one side across, then bring the other side across, making two loops about the same size. (shoelace bow)
Scrunch down with the Bowdabra wand. Next, add some berry picks, bending the stem to secure. Using sheer ribbon, lay some pre-dovetailed lengths in an X pattern.
Using the same ribbon, find the center and make another shoelace bow. To finish, using the 5″ wide ribbon from the start, make a button loop.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Use the excess wire to tie the simple Christmas wreath bow to a wreath of your choice! You are all ready for the holidays!
