Hi everyone! It’s Nicole from Reed Family Farm! Today I’m sharing how to create this fun Bowdabra Summer-Ween Wreath and bow. It’s the perfect mix of spooky and seasonal. Best of all, it comes together with the Bowdabra® and no hot glue is needed! Let’s get started! And before you know it, Halloween will be here, and you will be all set!
Materials:
Bow
• 2 yards of 2.5” wide wired Spider Web Halloween ribbon
• 1 yard of 2.5” wide wired Black Polka Dot ribbon
• 1 yard plus 4” of 2.5” wide wired Purple Spider ribbon
Wreath
• 14” grapevine wreath
• 3 small Black Rose & Skull bushes (Dollar Tree)
• 2 Candy Corn picks (Amazon)
Tools & Supplies
• Large Bowdabra®
• Bowdabra® Bow Wire
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, use some Halloween ribbon to make a fold and twist bow. Place the ribbon in the Bowdabra, leaving a small tail. Continue to twist and bring across to make two loops on each side.
Repeat with a second and third ribbon, making the loops and tails about the same size.
Finish by placing a small piece of ribbon for a button loop in the center.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Add the florals:
Place some Bowdabra bow wire in the Bowdabra and lay in some Halloween florals, bending to secure the florals in the Bowdabra. Then add some Halloween picks, bending the ends as well.
Use the Bowdabra bow wire to make a slip knot, turn to the back, and tie a knot, and repeat with another knot. Use the excess bow wire to tie the florals and picks to the grapevine wreath. Fluff and arrange the florals.
Now, tie the bow in the center, and you have an adorable summer-ween wreath all ready for Halloween!
