Bring a little rustic autumn charm to your home with this cute and budget-friendly DIY fall wall hanging from Bowdabra designer, Lisa of The Rustic Vine. Lisa uses a simple wood board, a cheerful sunflower sign, coordinating embellishments, and a small rag bow made with the Bowdabra to create a charming fall accent that’s easy to customize.
Supplies:
* Wood board for base
* Paint or stain for base — Lisa left hers as is
* Napkin of choice
* Sunflower sign
* Embellishments to match your napkin
* Large Bowdabra
* Jute or Bowdabra Bow Wire for the bow
* Fabric or ribbon for the small rag bow
* Mod Podge
* Paintbrushes
* Jute or rope for a hanger
* Hot glue
Instructions:
First, using a wooden sign, brush it with some ModPodge. Separate a fall print napkin layer and place it on the wooden sign. Iron it to attach it securely. Trim off any excess napkin. Add some more ModPodge on top to protect it.
Next, paint a pumpkin with the acrylic paint. Add some fall leaves and a mini pine cone all around the painted pumpkin. Add some excelsior all around the bottom edge.
Use some hot glue to attach a fall-themed sign to the center of the board.
Make the Bowdabra bow:
Cut some Bowdabra bow wire or jute, fold it in half, and lay it in the Bowdabra.
Using burlap ribbon, place it in the Bowdabra and make a bow, creating two loops on each side. Add some rag bow elements to the center of the bow.
Tie up the bow using a slipknot from the bow wire or jute.
To finish, attach the bow to the jute hanger on the front of the DIY fall wall hanging. Perfect to add some rustic charm to your decor this autumn.
