Hi everyone! It’s Nicole from Reed Family Farm and the Bowdabra® Design Team! Today, I’m sharing how to make this gorgeous country charm Stacked Bow using the Bowdabra®. Let’s get started!
Supplies:
- 2 yds. of 2½” wired Sunflower & Truck ribbon
- 2 yds. of 1½” wired Bandana ribbon
- 2 yds. of 1½” wired Black & White Check ribbon
- Bowdabra® Bow Wire
- Large Bowdabra®
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, using the 2 1/2″ wide ribbon, leaving about 12 inches for a tail, twist and bring it across to form a loop. Continue twisting and folding till you have two loops on each side. Make sure the right side is always facing out. Finish with a matching tail.
Repeat this step with the 1 1/2″ wide bandana ribbon, making the loops about one inch shorter than the previous ones. Continue until you have two loops on each side.
Repeat with the black and white buffalo check ribbon, this time making only one loop on each side. Then, with the same ribbon, cut a smaller length and make a button loop right in the center.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
To finish, pull apart the loops and fluff out the bow all around. Pull the tails down and curl the ends if desired.
This country charm stacked bow will be gorgeous added to a wreath, gift, and more!
