How to Make the Perfect Glittery Christmas Mason Jar Luminary

Gather these supplies:Supplies for Mason Jar Luminary

  • Mason jar or similar container
  • ModPodge
  • Artist’s paintbrush
  • Battery-operated tea lights or LED string lights
  • Twine or ribbon
  • Glitter (color of your choice)
  • Artificial holiday greenery
  • Hot glue and hot glue gun

Let’s make a Christmas Mason Jar Luminary:

  1. Coat your jar with ModPodge. Coat Jar with ModPodge
  2. While the ModPodge is still wet, liberally sprinkle glitter over the jar. Work over a container or sheet of copy paper, so you can reclaim the leftover glitter.Sprinkle Glitter over Jar
  3. Set the glittered jar aside to completely dry.Set Glittered Jar Aside to Dry
  4. Glue a small artificial wintery floral accent to the top of the jar. You could also use live greens such as holly and pine.Hot Glue Small Wintery Floral to Jar
