Hi, I’m Joette from the Bowdabra® Design Team! Today, I’m showing you how to make this fun Football Spirit Bow, perfect to use for a hair or bag bow.  It’s easy to customize with your favorite team colors and perfect for showing your spirit at high school, collegiate, or professional games!

Materials:

• 1/2 yard of 2.5” wide football ribbon (wired or non-wired)
• 3 – 1/2 yard strips of 5/8” wide non-wired ribbon
• 3 – 1/2 yard strips of 7/8” or 5/8” wide non-wired lace ribbon
• 2 – 1/2 yard strips of felt football ribbon
• 6” strip of ribbon of your choice
• Elastic hair tie
• Large or Mini Bowdabra®
• Bowdabra® Bow Wire

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, add pieces of lace and ribbon for the tails. Then place the football ribbon in the Bowdabra.

Now, find the center of a 2 1/2″ wide piece of Bowdabra football print ribbon and place it in the Bowdabra.

Next, take a length of the same football print ribbon and make a circle bow. To make a circle bow, place the right side of the ribbon down into the Bowdabra, bring the other side across, and lay the right side of the ribbon. Then, find the center and scrunch that down.

Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Tie a ponytail holder using the excess wires. Choose colors to represent your particular team, and you have an adorable football spirit bow!
