Instructions:
Note: (Since this extra large patriotic wreath is made with several ribbon styles, each time you must load the Bowdabra with the bow wire by cutting a length and folding in half. Place it in the Bowdabra, then use this wire as a slip knot.)
First, scrunch some strips of red deco mesh into the Bowdabra and use some zip ties to attach all around the wreath form for a base.
Add some more scraps of red, white and blue deco mesh attaching with zip ties.
Now, zip tie the plaque right in the center of the wreath.
Next, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half and lay it in the Bowdabra. Then lay in two strips 18″ long 2 1/2″ wide ribbon and one 1 1/2″ wide ribbon. Thread the loose wires through the loop, pull tight and remove from the Bowdaba. Turn to the back and tie a knot. Make three stacks of these ribbon bunches and set aside.
Now, in the same method use 24″ long tails of ribbon make three more ribbon bunches.
Next, using velvet ribbon place it in the Bowdabra and make two loops on one side and tie it up. Make two more with only one loop on each of them. Set them aside.
Add the florals:
Now, add the florals starting with the pampas grass, then filler flower bushes with red flowers, geraniums, and white florals. Add them all around securing with a bit of hot glue.
Next, add the ribbon bunches using a scissor to poke them down into the wreath. Add the short bunches on the top and the longer bunches on the bottom for tails.
Finally, add some florals at the bottom to balance everything out. Secure with hot glue. Add red, white, and blue berrry clusters all around. Add the large double loop bundle on the bottom and the two single loop bundles on the top.
To finish, add some star picks and curled picks all around and secure with some hot glue. You have a beautiful extra large patriotic wreath to be proud of!
