How to make a 3 ribbon funky bow–easy video DIY

Elevate your décor with Nick’s Year-Round 3 Ribbon Funky Bow! This fun and versatile bow is great for any occasion.

Materials Required:

• 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
• Large Bowdabra
• 2½” Printed Plaid White-Brown
Check Ribbon
• 2½” Canvas Wired Ribbon
• 1½” White Ribbon

Instructions:

First, cut a length of Bowdabra Bow Wire, fold it in half and place it in the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will become your slip knot.

Next, cut a length of your desired 2 1/2″ ribbon, create a loop, and place it in the Bowdabra with a tail hanging down.

Now, using your second ribbon, repeat the above step, making sure you place it in the Bowdabra with the loop on the opposite side.

Then, using your third ribbon, repeat, making sure you alternate the loop and tail sides. The loops should all be about 3 1/2″ – 4″, and the tails about 6 inches.

Continue in this manner with various ribbons till you have the desired amount of loops and tails.

Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Thread the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra.  Remove from the Bowdabra, turn to the back, and tie a knot.

To finish, dovetail all the tail ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Fluff and arrange your 3 ribbon funky bow! This bow will use your scraps of ribbon and be perfect for gifts, wreaths, doors, and so much more.
