Hi there! I’m Lisa from The Rustic Vine, part of the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’m excited to share a tutorial for adorable DIY Dollar Store winter decor, perfect for brightening up your home this season. This fun project is budget-friendly and easy for anyone to create. Let’s dive in and make some charming winter decorations together!
Supplies:
- 2 large tags from the Dollar Tree
- 2 gift boxes from the Dollar Tree
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue
- Ribbon or fabric for a bow, greenery, and holiday pick
- Hot glue
- Jute for hanger or Bowdabra Bow Wire
- Large Bowdabra

Instructions:
First, choose your large tag and gift box. Then, measure and cut out the gift box to fit over the tag. Now, sand the surface of the tag to rough it up a bit.
Spread some tacky glue all over the surface of the tag. Place the prepared box on the tag to attach. Trim off any excess box around the edges.
Make the Bow:
Fold a length of Bowdabra bow wire or jute in half and lay it in the Bowdabra, and tuck the excess wire or jute under the Bowdabra to keep it out of the way. This will serve as your slipknot.
Now, place some greenery and holiday picks on both sides of the Bowdabra.
Place some ribbon in and begin making loops back and forth until you have the number of loops you want.
Thread the loose wires or jute ends through the loops and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Remove from the Bowdabra, separate the wires or jute, turn to the back, and tie a knot and a double knot.
Fluff the bow and attach it to the front of the tag with some hot glue. Cut a length of jute and attach it to the back of the hanger. You have the most adorable winter decor made in just minutes!
