Hi everyone! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’ll guide you in creating a delightful butterfly lantern swag. This project adds a whimsical touch to your decor. Let’s dive in and get started!
Materials:
Small fern bush
Small filler flower bush
3 – Fall leaves
2 – wheat picks
Clip-on butterfly
Daisies and butterfly ribbon 1 1/2″
Medium Size Lantern

Instructions
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, fan out a fern pick and place it in the bowdabra for the top area. Then, add some fall leaves.
Add another floral bush, followed by some wheat stems, which you clip on a butterfly.
Now, in the middle, make a one-tail funky style bow. To do this, place one side of a ribbon strip in the bowdabra about an inch in, then bring the other side across to make a loop and one tail. Make sure the wrong side is on the inside of the loop.
Continue in this manner with ribbon strips alternating the loop and tail. For the last strip, make a button loop.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Fluff and arrange the bow, tails, and florals. Use the excess bow wire to attach it to the lantern. You have a lovely bow that would be great as a centerpiece, on a wreath, or a butterfly lantern swag.
