Hi everyone! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’ll be showing you how to create a lovely miniature lantern swag that transitions beautifully from summer to fall. This simple project requires minimal supplies and is a perfect way to refresh your decor for the changing seasons. Let’s get started!
Supplies:
2 – Floral picks (Can be floral Scraps)
1.5” Wide wired twinkle ribbon
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Mini Bowdabra or Large Bowdabra
Mini Lantern

Instructions:
First, cut a length of Bowdabra bow wire, then fold it in half and place it in the Mini or large Bowdabra. Make sure you tuck the ends under so that they stay out of the way while you make your swag.
Next, lay in a mini pick and faux wheat leftover from another pick.
Now, using the 1 1/2″ wide twinkle ribbon, find the center and place it right side down into the Bowdabra. Fold one end across, making a loop and tail, and then repeat crossing over. Repeat this step two more times.
Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then thread the two loose wires through the looped end and pull tight while the swag is still in the Bowdabra. Take out of the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot and a double knot.
Fluff and shape the swag by opening up the loops and pulling down the tails. Use the excess wire to tie the miniature lantern swag to the lantern. You have a beautiful decor piece to take you from summer right into fall!
