Homemade Sloppy Joes – Dinner Easy Recipe

Are you looking for a meal that will feed a crowd or give you a ton of leftovers for the week?  How about homemade Sloppy Joes!  Who needs the preservatives and sodium in canned sauce, when you can make it quick and easy yourself!

In a large skillet, cook 1 chopped onion and 1/2 cup of chopped celery until they are soft.  Add 2 pounds of ground beef and cook until browned.  If there is any fat, drain.

Now it is time to add your sauce!

Add the following ingredients to the pan:

  • 2 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp spicy mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for about one hour. Stir occasionally. Serve on hamburger buns.

Servings:- 6 to 8
