It’s Christmas in July where you get a head start on your holiday décor and projects before the rush begins. During the lazy days of summer, you can make this epic tree-topper bow in just minutes and when the holidays roll around you will be all set!
Watch and learn as Bowdabra creator, Sandy Sandler shows you the super simple steps!
Materials:
Tails:
1 yd – 2.5” wide Wired Velvet ribbon
1 yd – 1.5” wide Snowdrop ribbon
Bow:
3 yds – 2.5” wide Wired Velvet ribbon
2 yds – 1.5” wide Snowdrop ribbon
Poinsettia – Stem or pick

Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in a length of velvet ribbon on which the ends have been dovetailed into the Bowdabra. Repeat this step with the snowdrop ribbon. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Now, using a long length of red velvet ribbon, twist and place into the Bowdabra, making sure the right side is facing up. Fold across to make a loop and twist scrunching into the Bowdabra. Continue to fold and twist to make loops for your bow. Make about four loops on each side.
Repeat this step with the snowdrop ribbon making the loops just a little bit smaller.
Next, lay the poinsettia pick into the center.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and arrange the bow, tails, and floral pick. And you have a super simple but epic tree-topper bow to add to your tree or wreaths!
