Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra Bow Maker, shows you how to make a super cute and easy Bowdabra patriotic hair bow! Perfect for holidays like the 4th of July or Memorial Day, this bow is a fun way to add some patriotic flair to your look.
Materials:
Covered hair clip
3 strips, each 4” long: – 7/8” wide
Satin Betsy Ross ribbon – 5/8” wide
Grosgrain red/white/red stripes ribbon – 3/8” wide
Grosgrain blue dots ribbon – 3/8” wide
Red dots ribbon
5 Korker ribbons

Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take the star ribbon strips and find the center. Pinch in the middle to form a mountain fold and place in the Mini Bowdabra. Repeat two more times.
Repeat this step with the red/white/blue striped ribbon several more times.
Next, alternate placing the red dot/blue dot ribbon in the Mini Bowdabra.
Then, lay in the korker ribbons one at a time shaping as you go.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra wire makes it so easy.
To finish, use the excess bow wire to wrap around the covered hair clip going underneath with each end individually, and then tie in a knot to secure. Tie a double knot. Fluff and arrange the Bowdabra patriotic hair bow.
