Video DIY – How to make the best designer-style fall wreath

Materials:

2.5 yards – 7559.60/10-615 #7559 Sunflower Linen Ribbon 2-1/2 in Yellow

2 yards – 7809.60/10-837 #7809 Elite Velvet/ 2-sided Ribbon 2-1/2 in Latte/Silver 2 yards

Bowdabra Bow Wire

Instructions:

Start by cutting a long piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, lay in the foliage shaping as you go. Now, place the sunflower bush right in the Bowdabra.

Then, cut two lengths of the sunflower ribbon and place them in the Bowdabra for the tails. Now, create a twist and fold bow with the Sunflower ribbon. To do this, scrunch in the ribbon, then bring the ribbon across and scrunch down, twist, and repeat.  Continue making loops back and forth, twisting and scrunching down into the Bowdabra.  Make sure the wrong sides are always on the inside of the bow.

Next, use the crushed velvet ribbon to make an awareness-style bow. Fold lengths of the ribbon in half with a loop on one side and two tails on the other, like an awareness ribbon. Then, place another length of the same ribbon in the Bowdabra, alternating the loops and tails.

Now, use the 1 1/2″ wide sunflower ribbon to make a shoelace bow. Find the center of the ribbon and scrunch it down into the Bowdabra right side down.  Now bring one side across and scrunch down, then bring the other side across and scrunch down.

Finally, make a button loop. Twist and place some velvet ribbon into the Bowdabra, make a small loop, and scrunch down.

Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Shape out the ribbon, foliage, and florals. Use the excess wire to tie the bow to the wreath.  You have a gorgeous designer-style fall wreath!
