I’m going to show you how to make a really, really simple bow, which is great for last-minute gift-giving. So let’s get started.

I’m going to take my Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and lay it down. I’ve got about 22 inches. Lay it down into the Bowdabra. You know what I love about this is if you are at the last minute, if you have a pick laying around, you can just use your pick, or you can go to one of the stores and that’s when they’re selling out of all their picks, and you can get them very inexpensively.

So the first thing I’m going to do, I’ve got these ribbon that are about 8 inches long, and I’m just going to push those down into the Bowdabra. And what’s nice is this is just scrap ribbon that I had laying around, and I just cut it, and I’m just mixing and matching the ribbon because it really doesn’t matter.

As long as they match, it doesn’t matter that it’s not—they’re not the same. In fact, I think it has a better look when you mix and match. And this is absolutely the simplest bow to make for a gift package.

And then what I do is I take my wand, scrunch it down, and just bring it up. Pull this through my slipknot. Pull it tight while it’s still in the Bowdabra. Bring it out. Take my ends and bring them around to the back. And I’m just going to tie this off here.

And now I’m just going to shape my bow. And I love this little bird tag. And again, this pick’s just one that I picked up at the end of the season, so you can literally run to your store and get your last-minute.

And how pretty is that?
