Video DIY – How to make a vibrant autumn wreath

Bring the beauty of fall to your home with this gorgeous grapevine wreath created by Nick of Nick’s Seasonal Décor. Nick combines an eye-catching orange burlap bow made with the Bowdabra® with colorful fall foliage to create a vibrant autumn wreath. The finished wreath is a beautiful way to add a festive touch to your front door or fall décor.

Materials Required:

Large Bowdabra®
Gold Bowdabra® Bow Wire
Orange Mesh Ribbon
14” Grapevine Wreath
Decorative Fall Leaves

Instructions

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, cut some orange ribbon for the tails and place them in the Bowdabra.

Then, with the same orange ribbon, make a twist and fold bow. Scrunch in the ribbon, then, bring the ribbon across and scrunch down, twist, and repeat.  Continue making loops back and forth twisting and scrunching down into the Bowdabra. Make four loops on each side.

Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Use the excess bow wire to tie the bow to a grapevince wreath. Fluff out the bow as desired.

Using some hot glue to add some foliage all around the wreath. Work in some fall colored leaves. Finally add some fall florals. Dovetail or curl the tails. Make any final adjustments or additions to your complete and vibrant autumn wreath!
