Video how to make Stunning Bee-Themed Home Decor

Hi! Lisa here from The Rustic Vine for the Bowdabra Design Team. Today I’m excited to share a rustic and charming bee-themed home decor idea that’s perfect for adding a touch of farmhouse style to your space.

Bees are such wonderful creatures, and incorporating them into your home decor is a great way to celebrate these hardworking pollinators. Let’s take a look at this easy way to bring a little beehive chic into your living room, bedroom, or anywhere else you need a nature-inspired refresh.

Ribbon, Spanish moss, greenery
Jute or wire for bow
Paint for frame (optional)
Button
Small pieces of fabric and stamps for sign

Small fabric piece for tag

Mini iron (optional)
Heat gun or blow dryer  (optional)

Instructions:
First, remove the backing from the frame and use it to trace onto some cardboard and cut it out.
Next, spread the modpodge onto the cardboard and let it dry. If using a napkin, separate the plies,  choose the area on the napkin or paper that you want to cut out for the wood slice, trace around it, and cut out.
Now, lay a napkin or paper with a hole in the desired spot on the cardboard. Then, cover the napkin or paper with a cloth or parchment paper and iron with small even strokes, making sure to cover the entire surface. Check to see if all the paper is adhered to. Repeat iron if any spots need touching up.
Paint the frame if desired.
Next, put cardboard in the frame and add the backing. Use the same method to adhere the round cut-out piece of napkin or paper for the wood slice.
Use hot glue to adhere the wood slice directly to the glass on the frame over the cutout portion on the sign.
Make the Bowdabra bow:
First, Insert wire or jute into the middle slot and tuck in the Bowdabra. Add greenery of choice.
Next, start adding fabric or ribbon of choice in the center, going back and forth to make loops.  Layer ribbon or fabric for a fuller bow.
Pull ends of wire or jute up to the middle of the Bowdabra and tie the bow with a knot on the back of the bow.
Fluff and arrange the bow and use hot glue to secure it to the frame. Add button to center of bow using hot glue.
To finish, make a little fabric tag by stamping on the desired word or saying and add it to the bottom portion of the sign. You have a stunning bee-themed home decor piece to display anywhere in your home!
