Materials:

Bowdabra

Bowdabra Bow Wire

1.5 yds – 21” wide Deco Mesh

1.5 yds – 1.5” wide Purple Morocco ribbon

2 yds – 2.5” wide Emelia ribbon

1.5 yds – 1.5” wide Cream Wired Burlap ribbon

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your swag.

Next, roll the ends under on the 21” wide décor mesh to hide any fraying and scrunch the center down into the Bowdabra. When you reach the end, roll it under as you did at the start. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.

Now, lay in the tails which have been previously dovetailed. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.

Then, add the foliage directly into the Bowdabra.  Now fold a length of ribbon in half with a loop on one side and two tails on the other, like an awareness ribbon. Lay it in the Bowdabra, making sure you twist when you place it in the Bowdabra so that the wrong side is on the inside. Repeat with a second piece of the same ribbon. Continue doing this with the burlap ribbon two more times.

Finishing your swag:

Next, add the pumpkin pick, berries, hydrangea, and burlap rose.

Finally, using the purple ribbon, make a fold and twist bow. Scrunch in the ribbon, then bring the ribbon across and scrunch down, twist, and repeat.  Continue making loops back and forth, twisting and scrunching down into the Bowdabra.  Make sure the wrong sides are always on the inside of the bow.

Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security. You have a gorgeous autumn door swag made in a flash!!
