Video DIY – How to make a super elegant party arrangement

Create a simple, glam, and super-elegant New Year’s Eve (or anytime!) party arrangement with the Mini Bowdabra®!

In this tutorial, Sandy shows how to add a gorgeous glitter ribbon bow, wrap your vase beautifully, and finish with river rocks for a stylish, party-ready display. This quick décor idea is perfect for last-minute celebrations, holiday tablescapes, and chic home accents all year long.

Materials:

Mini Bowdabra

Bowdabra Bow Wire

Orchid bloom cut to fit slightly taller than the vase

12” or taller clear glass cylinder vase

River rocks to cover the bottom of the vase

Optional: Add water for a more realistic look

32” of 1.5” wide Black Princess Glitter ribbon for trim (for a 12” vase)

Glue dots or Zots

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Find the center of the black glitter ribbon, facing right side down, make a mountain fold, and scrunch it into the Bowdabra.  Now, bring one side across and scrunch it into the Bowdabra.  Bring the other side across and scrunch down. You have a little shoe bow.

Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Clip the excess wires.

Take another small piece of the same ribbon, fold it in half lengthwise, and wrap it around the center of the bow, securing with glue dots.

Use some adhesive dots to wrap ribbon all around the bottom of the vase. Attach the bow to the ribbon. Fill the vase with some river rocks.

To finish, place the orchid bloom into the vase. You have an elegant party arrangement to use for New Year’s Eve or any time!
