Hi everyone! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’ll show you how to create a cozy winter lantern swag using Bowdabra. This charming project adds a touch of seasonal elegance to your decor. Let’s get started!
Materials:
• 2.5″ wide wired ribbon
• 2 small cedar stems or picks
• Bowdabra scrunchy ribbon or a 4″ wide non-wired ribbon, tulle, or mesh
• Large Bowdabra
• Bowdabra Bow Wire
• Small lantern of your choice

Instructions
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your swag.
Using a length of ribbon with pre-dovetailed ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Next, fold it in half to find the center and lay it in the Bowdabra.
Now, bring one end over to form a loop and tail, then bring the opposite end over, forming a bow. Repeat this step with another piece of the same ribbon.
Next, lay in some foliage.
Using the Bowdabra silver scrunchy ribbon insert in the Bowdabra from the top and scrunch down like an accordion.
Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the swag is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the swag from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.
Fluff and arrange the loops and tails, and use the excess wire to attach this beautiful winter lantern swag to your preferred lantern!
