How to make the cutest mini cutting board wall hanger

Hi there! I’m Lisa from The Rustic Vine, part of the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’m excited to share a tutorial for the cutest mini cutting board wall hanger, perfect for the upcoming holidays. This charming project is a delightful way to bring a festive touch to your decor, and it’s something anyone can create. Let’s dive in and make the mini cutting board wall hanger.

Materials:

mini cutting board
mini cupcake papers
mini gingerbread ornament
modpodge
white paint
1.5” wide ribbon for bow
greenery pieces
twine or Bowdabra Bow Wire
Large Bowdabra

Instructions:

First, paint the mini cutting board with two coats of white acrylic paint. Let dry.  Next, brush some ModPodge on the front and let it dry.

Next, flatten out some mini cupcake liners and place them on the front of the cutting board.  Place three liners in the order you choose. Then, place some parchment paper on top and iron the liners to the cutting board, which will reactivate the ModPodge.

Trim off the excess liner with a sander. Brush a coat of ModPodge on top to seal.

Using letter stickers, place the verbiage you choose. Seal once again with the ModPodge.

Make the Bowdabra bow:

Cut a piece of jute or Bowdabra bow wire and fold it in half.  Place it in the Bowdabra to work as a slipknot.

Lay in some gingham ribbon and bring it across to make two loops on each side.

Now tie it up using the slip knot. Remove and turn to the back, making a knot.

To finish, fluff and arrange the bow, and use some hot glue to attach it to the top of the cutting board. Glue the mini gingerbread man to the top of the cutting board wall hanger.
