Hi there! I’m Lisa from The Rustic Vine, part of the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’m excited to share a tutorial for a stunning wall hanger, perfect for the upcoming holidays. This charming project is a wonderful way to add festive flair to your decor, and it’s something anyone can create. Let’s dive in and make this adorable wall hanger together!
Supplies:
Cake boards from Walmart or any cutting board
A gift bag that will fit on the front of the board
Bowdabra bow wire or, optionally, jute.
ModPodge/ hot glue
Fabric or ribbon for a bow
Premade tag of choice
Button

Instructions:
First, cut out the image from your gift bag. Next, spread some ModPodge all over the front of your board. Place the image on top and smooth it with your hands.
Rough the edges all around with some sandpaper, then add some distress ink all around for a rustic look.
Now, seal the image all around with some more ModPodge. Let it dry, then put it aside while you make the bow.
Make the bow:
First, cut a length of Bowdabra bow wire or Jute, fold it in half, and lay it in the Bowdabra.
Now, begin adding ripped fabric into the Bowdabra, making two loops on each side. Use the bow wire or jute as a slip knot and remove the bow from the Bowdabra, tying it tightly with knots in the back.
Repeat the above step with a second color of ripped fabric.
To finish, glue both bows together and then glue them to the top center of the board. Attach a button to the center. And you have a stunning wall hanger to use during the holidays and all winter long!
