Learn how to make this gorgeous farmhouse style swag bow to add to all of your simple spring décor. Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra, shows you step-by-step how easy it is to create. So let’s get started!
Materials:
Two yards 4” wide wired sheer ribbon
2 1/2 yards 2 ½” wide wired ribbon
1 1/2 yards 1 ½” wide wired burlap ribbon
2 small foliage bushes
Bowdabra bow maker
Bowdabra bow wire

Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your swag.
Next, lay the greenery into the Bowdabra. Now, make a multi-loop bow, bring the sheer ribbon across, and scrunch down. Continue making loops back and forth, twisting and scrunching down into the Bowdabra. Make sure the right sides are always facing upwards.
Repeat this step with the farmer print ribbon.
Continue with this technique with the 1 ½” wide burlap ribbon, finishing with a small button loop.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and fluff everything on the perfect farmhouse style swag bow. Use the bow for décor and embellishing gifts, and more!
