These no-sew lavender sachets are the perfect Mother’s Day gift. They require few readily available supplies and are easy to make. With minimal adult help kids will have great success with the sachets.
Gather these supplies:
- Cotton fabric (quilting fat quarters offer a wide variety of colors and patterns)
- Dried lavender (available through Amazon)
- Liquid glue
- Fiber fill (optional)
Let’s make new-sew lavender sachets:
- Cut the fabric into 4″ squares. You’ll need two squares for each sachet.

- Add a thin line of glue about ¼” from the edge of one square following the diagram shown below. You want to leave an open space on one side for filling the sachet.

- Lay the second square on top of the glued square, and gently press the glued edges together. Set aside to dry.
- If you want a firmer sachet, add a small tuft of fiber fill to the sachet. Use your fingers to work the filling into two corners. If you prefer a softer, more flexible sachet you can skip this step. My personal preference is a sachet without fiber fill.

- Add dried lavender to the sachet, filling about two thirds to three quarters full. If you’re using fiber fill leave enough room for a final tuft before closing.

- Glue the opening closed, gently pressing the edges together.

- If necessary, hold the glued opening together with clamps until dry. Binder clips work great as clamps.

- Enjoy giving your fragrant no-sew lavender sachets on Mother’s Day.
