Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra Bow Maker, shows you how to make a super fun and easy spring or summer wreath bow using the Bowdabra.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crafter, you’ll love how simple it is to create this beautiful bow with vibrant lime green, gingham, and bumblebee ribbons.
Materials:
Tails:
One yard 2.5” wide Green Spring Cabana Stripes Ribbon
One yard 1.5” wide Apple Green Bee’s & Blossoms Ribbon
Bow:
3 yds: 2.5” wide Green Spring Cabana Stripes Ribbon
2 yds: 1.5” wide Lime Gingham Style Ribbon
1.5 yds: 1.5” wide Apple Green Bubble Dots Ribbon
1.5 yds: 1.5” wide Apple Green Bee’s & Blossoms Ribbon

Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire making it long enough that you will be able to use it to tie it to the wreath. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in the stripped cabana ribbon, and bee’s and blossoms’ tails on which you have already dovetailed the ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Now using a length of the cabana stripes ribbon, place into the Bowdabra and twist and fold across to make loops. Make about 6-8 loops total. In this case four loops on each side.
Repeat this step with the gingham check ribbon. Continue twisting and folding to make loops with bubble dots ribbon. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.
Finally, lay in the bees and blossoms ribbon and repeat the twist and fold bow technique for this stunning stacked wreath bow.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.
To finish, arrange and adjust the bow and use the excess bow wire to tie onto the wreath.
