Hi there! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team. In this video tutorial, I’ll guide you through a fun and easy way to upgrade a door sign or wall hanger in just minutes, using upcycled materials. We’ll craft a simple rag bow door sign from strips of old clothes, jeans, leather, and scrap pieces of lace trim to enhance a dollar store sign, transforming it into a personalized piece that adds charm to your space. Let’s get started with this exciting upgrade!

Instructions
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, find the center of two pieces of lace and lay it in the Bowdabra. Follow this by laying strips of denim cut from old jeans several times. Continue adding strips of fabric from various sources.
Now, using a strip of recycled leather from a belt or purse strap, find the center and lay it in the Bowdabra. Bring one end across to make a loop and then bring the opposite end across to make a matching loop. (shoe bow)
Next, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Use the excess wire to add some bling on the front of the bow. Fluff and arrange the bow.
Finally, staple, glue or tie on the bow making a stunning rag bow door sign.
