Instructions:
First, Cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and tuck it underneath the Bowdabra so that it stays out of the way while you make the bow.
Next, cut a length of the red gingham and the blue gingham and place in the Bowdabra for the tails.
Now, use the red gingham ribbon and scrunch it into the Bowdabra. Then, twist and fold bringing the loops across. Continue twisting and folding to make loops. Make two loops on each side. Then, make one loop slightly smaller and cut off.
Next, using the blue gingham ribbon continue to make two more loops on each side. Finish with the red ribbon making a 2″ loop in the center. (button loop)
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra wire makes it so easy!
Finally, fluff and arrange the loops and cut a dovetail in the ends. To make a dovetail, fold the ribbon in half lengthwise and cut at an angle away from the fold. You have the perfect patriotic bow to use in various ways!
