How to make the best patriotic centerpiece with Bowdabra

Welcome to our DIY tutorial on creating the best patriotic centerpiece using the Bowdabra! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team, and today I’ll show you how to craft this beautiful decoration without any containers, floral foam, or hot glue. Let’s get started!

Materials:

2 full stems or bushes of Boston fern

Assorted red, white, and blue silk florals

21” wide deco mesh

10” wide deco mesh

4” wide deco mesh

Assorted 2.5” wide burlap and patriotic wired ribbons

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire extra long since we will be putting quite a lot into the Bowdabra.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your centerpiece.

Next, roll the ends under a length of 21″ wide deco mesh and insert in the Bowdabra right in the middle pushing down like an accordion. Fan it out evenly.

Now, add some faux ferns evenly on both sides. Then, fan out some florals on each side. Continue adding filler flowers from left to right.

Add your ribbon bows:

Using the burlap ribbon twist and fold a 6-inch loop to make sure the wrong side of the ribbon is on the inside and lay it in the Bowdabra, funky bow style. Repeat on the opposite side reversing the loop. Continue with the burlap ribbon two more times.

Next, with some patriotic ribbon repeat the same technique of folding and twisting to make a loop on one side and tails on the other side twice.  Then, repeat two more times with the Tribute ribbon.

Finally, roll some 14″ wide deco mesh, roll the ends under, and scrunch down into the Bowdabra. Then repeat the funky bow style with some blue burlap ribbon twice. Finish with a small amount of red deco mesh and scrunch down into the center. Add a patriotic garland

Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.

Arrange and fluff your patriotic centerpiece.  You have the best patriotic centerpiece without any glue or floral foam!
