How to make a super quick and easy shamrock hair clip

If you’ve got a few minutes you can whip up this quick and easy shamrock hair clip.  This project uses small scraps of ribbon so it is thrifty as well as easy. The easy shamrock hair clip makes a great party favor so don’t stop at just one!

Materials:

  • Grosgrain ribbon
  • Alligator hair clip
  • Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks or glue dots
  • Rhinestone
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Gather all of the materials you will need for this project.

Next, cut a 6” piece of grosgrain ribbon.

Attach the alligator hair clip to the ribbon with some hot glue or glue dots.  Next, cut six 2 ½-3” long pieces of green grosgrain ribbon.

Now, glue the ends of two pieces together with glue. Then, bring the ends around together to create a heart. Next, take the middle tip of the heart and glue to the back of the heart.

Glue the heart to the edge of the prepared hair clip.

Next, make two more hearts. Glue each heart on top of the last heart you glued.

To finish attach a rhinestone or other bobble to the front of the shamrock.
