Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra shows you the easy way to make a quick butterfly bow with Bowdabra. Follow along with this video DIY and you will have a beautiful butterfly bow in just minutes!
So, let’s get started:
2.5 yards of 2.5-inch wide Navy Blue Spring Daisy Ribbon
1 Burlap Rose for the center
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, cut a piece of blue daisy ribbon and dovetail the ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Pinch in the center and lay it in the Bowdabra for the tails.
Now, using the blue daisy ribbon, twist it and scrunch it down into the Bowdabra, and bring it across to make a loop. twist and fold to make a matching loop on the other side. Make sure the wrong side of the ribbon is on the inside of the loops.
Next, continue to twist and fold but make the loops a bit smaller. Now, make two more loops even smaller.
At this point add the beautiful burlap flower right in the Bowdabra.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. Bowdabra bow wire makes it so easy to tie a secure tight knot.
Finally, pull out the loops and arrange the bow. You have a beautiful and quick butterfly bow to use on packages, wreaths and so much more!
