First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in the tails. First place the cabana ribbon, followed by the bumble bee ribbon, and finally the yellow burlap ribbon.
Now, twist and place the long piece of cabana ribbon into the Bowdabra. Bring it across to make a loop, scrunch, twist, and repeat. Continue twisting and making loops. Measure by bringing up the loops together to see if they are approximately the same size.
Next, repeat the twist and fold to make loops with the bumblebee ribbon. Make these loops just a little bit smaller. Give everything a good push with the Bowdabra wand.
Repeat the fold and twist with the yellow burlap ribbon again making the loops a little bit smaller.
Take the 2 ½” wide bumble bee ribbon and fold the end under. From the top scrunch down into the Bowdabra like an accordion. Finish by folding the end under as you did in the beginning.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
To finish, arrange the bow by pulling out and opening the loops. Curl the tails. You have the most beautiful and cheerful spring bow to use on a wreath or as a door bow.
