Bowdabra Bow Wire
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take the deco mesh and fold it under to hide any fraying. Find the center and scrunch it down into the Bowdabra. When you get to the end fold the the edge under as you did when you started.
Now, begin adding foliage right in the Bowdabra. Follow this with the hanging foliage. Next, add the florals one at a time in a pleasing manner, splitting in half when necessary so that they are laying on both sides.
Next, add the 2 1/2″ wide burlap tails that have already been dovetailed. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Follow this with the 1 1/2″ wide burlap tails. Now, add a 1″ wide wired ribbon.
Now, take the 2 1/2″ wide burlap and begin to twist and fold back and forth making loops. Then repeat this process with the 1 1/2″ wide burlap ribbon making the loops slightly smaller. Finally, use the 1″ wide ribbon to make a shoe bow. Find the center and place it right side down in the Bowdabra. Bring one side across and scrunch and bring the opposite across and scrunchNow scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.
Insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.
Fluff the loops of the bows and arrange the florals. Curl the tails. Use some hot glue to attach the decorative carrots to the swag. You have a beautiful Easter door swag that took just a few minutes to create!
