Hi! I’m Amanda from Whimsy Wreath Design Co, LLC, part of the Bowdabra Design Team. In this tutorial, we’ll create a charming spring bunny wreath that offers a delightful twist on the traditional round wreath. Let’s hop into crafting and bring some spring cheer to your home decor!
Assorted matching floral stem pieces
Assorted foliage stems/bushes
Hot Glue
2 Pipe cleaners or Bowdabra Bow Wire
First, make the bows for the bunny. To make a bow, cut a length of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and lay it in the Bowdabra. This will be your slipknot. You may alternately use some pipe cleaners. Place the ribbon in the Bowdabra. Twist and fold across to make a loop. Repeat this step folding and twisting until you have as many loops as you desire.
Now, thread the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Remove from the Bowdabra, turn to the back, and tie a knot. (or alternately twist the chenille stem tight.)
Repeat these steps to make a second bow.
Tie or glue one bow to the top by the ears and one bow to the bottom.
Glue some hydrangea flowers to the bottom of the wreath attaching around the bow. Add the greenery. Now, repeat adding florals and greenery around the top bow attaching with some hot glue.
Fluff and arrange the bows on the spring bunny wreath door hanger and display all season long.
