Dollar Tree hanging tinsel shamrocks
Filler flower bushes
Deco mesh (21 inch wide)
Chicago ribbon (3-inch wide, green)
Shimmering shamrock ribbon (2.5 inch and 1.5 inch wide) Bowdabra bow wire
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take the 21” wide deco mesh and roll the ends so that the frayed edges are hidden. Lay the mesh in the center of the Bowdabra and scrunch it in. When you get to the end roll under as you did in the beginning.
Push everything down with the Bowdabra wand.
Now, lay in some filler flowers on each side. Next, make a funky style bow with the Chicago ribbon and the shamrock ribbon.
To create a funky bow style bow, fold lengths of ribbon in half with a loop on one side and two tails on the other like an awareness ribbon. Then, place them in the Bowdabra alternating the sides of loops and tails.
If there is a wrong and right side of the ribbon, make sure you twist it when you place it in the Bowdabra so that the wrong side is on the inside.
Now, add a length of the shamrock ribbon for the tails. Dovetail all the ends or you may pre-dovetail them.
Finally, take a long length of the shamrock ribbon and make a fold and twist-bow. To make a fold and twist multi-loop bow, first, insert the ribbon wrong side down, bring the ribbon across, and scrunch down. Continue making loops back and forth twisting and scrunching down into the Bowdabra. Make sure the wrong sides are always on the inside of the bow.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra wire makes it so easy!
Use the excess bow wire to tie the hanging shamrocks to the shamrock door swag. Fluff and arrange the bow and florals.
