Chicago ribbon, 2 yards, 3 inches wide
Gleam ribbon, 2 yards, 2 ½” wide
Purple twinkling ribbon, 2 yards, 1 ½” wide
2 yards gold tinsel garland
1 yd – 2.5” wide Wired polyester stretchy mesh ribbon
Orchid
3 Calla lily stems
Bowdara scrunchy ribbon, gold
6-8 glittered Christmas foliage and 4 glittery Christmas picks
2 filler bush florals
3 peacock feathers
First, cut a long piece of Bowdabra bow wire since we are going to be adding a lot in this swag. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, place a long tail of Chicago ribbon in the Bowdabra. Now add a gleam ribbon tail. Continue by adding a purple twinking ribbon tail and the gold tinsel garland.
Next, lay the orchid florals in the Bowabra. Now, add the purple and green leaf picks. Follow this by adding the gold leaf picks facing the other direction. Then, add more leaf picks and calla lilies. Now, add some filler flowers. Lay them in the Bowdabra facing opposite directions.
To create a funky bow style bow. Fold lengths of ribbon in half like an awareness ribbon, with a loop on one side and two tails on the other, place them in the Bowdabra alternating the sides of loops and tails.
For the funky bow Cut a piece of Chicago ribbon folded like an awareness ribbon with a loop on one side and two tails on the other.
Now, add a tail with the purple/green ribbon.
Continue making the funky bow with other color ribbons. First, add the purple/green ribbon. Next, add two twinkling ribbon pieces, then two Gleam ribbon pieces.
Scrunch down with the Bowdabra wand. It is amazing how much you can fit in the Bowdabra! Now, add two tails of the mesh ribbon.
Add some Christmas picks. To finish, make a scrunchy bow with Bowdabra gold scrunchy ribbon insert the ribbon from the top, and scrunch down like an accordion. Add some peacock feathers. (3)
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Since there is so much in the Bowdabra, you may have to open the towers a bit. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra wire makes it so easy!
Curl the tails and fluff out this surprisingly easy Mardi Gras swag!
