Hey everyone! I’m Lexi, and I’m super excited to show you how to make a cute dog harness bow! It’s super easy and fun, perfect for adding some holiday cheer to your pup’s style. Let’s dive in and get started!
12” of 6” wide ribbon
1.5 yds of 2.5” wide ribbon
2 Dollar Store berry clusters
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, use about 12 inches of 6″ wide ribbon and curl the ends under. Then scrunch in the ribbon accordion style into the Mini Bowdabra.
Now, use about 1 1/2″ yards of 2 1/2″ wide ribbon. If the ribbon you are using is wired, remove the wire. Place the ribbon end in the Mini Bowdabra and then twist and fold back and forth to make loops. Make sure the loops are approximately the same size and that the right side of the bow is facing up.
Finally, add some berry clusters in the center. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.
To finish, take the loose ends of the Bow wire and thread it through the loop. Pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow, turn to the back, and tie a knot and double knot.
Fluff and shape the dog harness bow by pulling the loops and opening them up. Use the excess bow wire to tie the bow onto the harness.
