Light up your holidays with this beautiful Mason jar luminary. This is an easy project that results in a spectacular luminary perfect for Christmas decorating.
Gather these supplies:
- Mason jar or similar container
- ModPodge
- Artist’s paintbrush
- Battery-operated tea lights or LED string lights
- Twine or ribbon
- Glitter (color of your choice)
- Artificial holiday greenery
- Hot glue and hot glue gun
Let’s make a Christmas Mason Jar Luminary:
- Coat your jar with ModPodge.
- While the ModPodge is still wet, liberally sprinkle glitter over the jar. Work over a container or sheet of copy paper, so you can reclaim the leftover glitter.
- Set the glittered jar aside to completely dry.
- Glue a small artificial wintery floral accent to the top of the jar. You could also use live greens such as holly and pine.
- Wrap twine or ribbon around the neck of the jar, and tie it into a bow.
- Put a battery tea light or string of LED lights in the glittered jar.
- Enjoy your Christmas Mason Jar Luminary, or give it as a special gift.
