Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here sharing this Welcome Fall sign decorated with a bow created with the Bowdabra.
Supplies:
Bowdabra Bow-Making Tool
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Wood Plaque
Plaid Paint
Fairy Hugs Stamps
Rinea Foiled Paper
Ribbon
Raffia
First, start by folding some Bowdabra bow wire in half and placing it in the channel. This will be your slipknot.
I had this ribbon with a lovely pattern, but found it was too wide.
By cutting it into strips, I could create a sweet bow.
Place the strips in the Bowdabra and twist them as they pass through the channel.
Create 5 loops on each side, cutting the ribbon so that the strips appear continuous.
When one strip has ended, fold the next strip so it creates the next loop.
Use the wand to push the loops down into the Bowdabra.
Add some raffia. Thread the loose wires through the loop and then pull up on the bow wire while the bow is still in the Bowabra. Remove from the Bowdabra, turn to the back, and tie a knot and double knot..
Fluff out the loops and trim the raffia and tails to fit the panel.
Decorate the panel as desired with paints and foiled papers.
Use stamps to decorate the edges of the leaf adding additional color.
Add burlap and canvas to the center, then adhere Welcome Fall sign.
Tie the bow to the top of the leaf.
Twirl the excess bow wire on a pencil or wooden pick.
Thanks for stopping by.
