Hey everyone! I’m Lexi from the Bowdabra Design Team, and I’m super excited to show you a cool new technique for making a beautiful hair bow with the Mini Bowdabra. It’s super easy and fun, so let’s jump right in and get started!
12”-24” 1” wide grosgrain ribbon
12”-24” 5/8” wide grosgrain ribbon
Flat bead or embellishment
Hot Glue
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your hair bow.
Next, place the wider ribbon pretty side down. Then, bring the other side across in a zig-zag shape. Now, find the center gather it, and lay it in the Mini Bowdabra.
Repeat the same steps with the smaller ribbon.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Mini Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra wire makes it so easy!
To finish, use the excess bow wire to tie the hair bow to a ponytail elastic. Cut off any excess wire. Fluff and shape your beautiful hair bow.
Lastly, hot glue an embellishment to the center of the beautiful hair bow.
