Watch this super easy video DIY with Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra as she shows you the easy steps to make a stunning double-layered fall bow in minutes! This bow can be used in various ways.  It’s perfect for a door bow, large wreath, mantle decor, stair rails and more!

Let’s get started!

Materials:

¾ yd. 2 1/2″ fall print and burlap ribbon

1 1/2″  fall print ribbon

Bowdabra bow maker

Bowdabra bow wire

Fall ribbon kit

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, take about 3/4 yd. of fall print and burlap ribbon and dovetail the ends. Find the center of each ribbon and lay them in the Bowdabra.

Now, take about 3 yds. of the fall print ribbon and place it in the Bowdabra.  Fold and twist making loops.

Next, take about 2 yds. of the burlap ribbon and repeat the steps above twisting and folding to make loops. Make these loops just a little bit smaller than the previous ones.

Now, push everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, take the narrow fall print ribbon and repeat this process of folding and twisting.

Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra bow wire makes it so easy!

Fluff and arrange your double-layered fall bow

Pull out the loops and pleasingly arrange them. Open the loops to fluff.  Wired ribbon makes it so easy.
