How to Make the Perfect Turkey Napkin Ring for Your Thanksgiving Table

Get kids involved in decorating your Thanksgiving table with this adorable napkin ring made from a toilet paper roll.Thanksgiving Napkin Ring

Gather these supplies:

  • Empty toilet paper roll
  • Scrap of orange or bright yellow felt
  • Googly eyes
  • 5 chenille stems (pipe cleaners)—red, orange, yellow, green, purple—for the feathers
  • 1 tan chenille stem for the face
  • Double sided tape
  • Liquid craft glue

How to make the turkey napkin ring:

  1. Measure and mark three equal divisions on the toilet roll.
  2. Cut the toilet roll at the marked divisions. One toilet roll makes three napkin rings.
  3. Apply a strip of double sided tape to one of the sections.
  4. Cut the colored pipe cleaners in half, then fold each half into a long loop. Each pipe cleaner makes two tail feathers.
  5. Attach the folded feather pipe cleaners to the double sided tape on the toilet roll.
  6. Coil the tan pipe cleaner into a tight spiral about 1½” in diameter for the turkey’s face.
  7. Glue the face in place on top of the pipe cleaner tail feathers.
  8. Cut a small triangle from the felt scrap. Then, glue the felt beak and googly eyes in place on the face. Note: If you don’t have a felt scrap, you can substitute a piece of cardstock or paper.
  9. Enjoy your fun turkey napkin ring for Turkey Day!!
