Hi, I’m Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra. Today, I’m excited to show you how to spin a darling DIY spider headband using the Bowdabra crafting tool! This easy no-sew Halloween project is perfect for adding a touch of spooky-cute style to your holiday look. With just a few simple supplies and the Bowdabra, you can create a whimsical spider headband in no time. Let’s get started!
Black Tubular Mesh (14″)
Gold Tubular Mesh (14″)
Scissors
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take about 42″ of Bowdabra scrunchy ribbon place it in the Bowdabra from the top, and push it down like an accordion.
Now lay in the gold and black pieces of tubular mesh.
Then, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Next, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. The Bowdabra wire makes it so easy!
To finish your spider headband use the excess wire to tie the spider onto a headband. Tie a knot and double knot. Fluff out the scrunchy ribbon spider body. The tubular mesh legs wiggle around for a fun touch.
