How to make a Beautiful No-Sew Ribbon Silverware Holder

With the arrival of Fall and holiday gatherings, it’s so easy to set a beautiful table with an adorable no-sew ribbon silverware holder. So simple and yet very tasteful! Gail, from Purple Hues and Me shows you the easy steps.

Supplies:

• 5″ wide Burlap Ribbon
• 2.5″ ribbon
• Ruler/scissors/ruler
• Fabri-Tac Fabric glue or hot glue
• Mini-Bowdabra and Wand
• Bowdabra Bow Wire

Fold the bottom up five inches to make a pocket.

Add glue to side edges and press together to seal and . . .

close.

Add a decorative bow 

First, cut an 18″ piece of Bowdabra bow wire, and fold it in half. Lay the folded bow wire in the Mini Bowdabra, tucking the loop and ends under.   Because the ribbon has a print on one side going in the same direction, cut two separate 4.5″ tails, creasing one end down into the Mini Bowdabra. Crease the other 4.5″ end down into the Mini Bowdabra. The wording design on the tails should be going in the same direction.

Cut a 15″ piece of ribbon, creasing one end, and placing down into the Mini Bowdabra with the plain backside facing up. 

Take the opposite end of the ribbon up and over the tower of the Mini Bowdabra, creasing the end down into the center of the Mini Bowdabra.

Crease the center of the ribbon down into the Mini Bowdabra creating a 3.5″ loop on either side.

Scrunch down the ribbon with the Mini Bowdabra Wand.

 

While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the Mini Bowdabra Bow Wire through the loop at the other end. Pull the bow wire tightly while the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra.

Gently pull the bow out separate the two loose ends of the bow wire and bring them around to the back of the bow and knot twice to secure. Cut off excess bow wire.

Finishing the silverware holder:

 

Attach the bow to the top center of the burlap pocket using glue.
