Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here and I am sharing a rainbow gift jar that we finish with a gorgeous Bowdabra bow.
Mini Bowdabra
Bow Wire
Ribbon
Etched glass jar
This project is a great way to use an assortment of thin ribbons you’ve collected over the years.
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and place it in the Bowdabra.
Tuck the ends underneath while making the bow.
Next, cut strips of ribbon about 8″ long, and place 2 of the same colors in the channel.
Continuing adding assorted colors of ribbon in the channel.
Pull the bow wire through the wire loop and tighten it while the ribbon is still in the Bowdabra.
Next, remove the ribbon from the Bowdabra, separate the wire ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.
Decorate a glass jar using Etchall and paint.
Tie the ribbon to the jar using the excess bow wire.
Finish by creating a ribbon from a butterfly ribbon.
Cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and place it in the Bowdabra.
Then, tuck the ends underneath while making the bow.
Place the ribbon in the channel and create the loops.
After creating 3 loops on either side of the channel, use the bow wire to push the ribbon into the channel.
Pull the bow wire through the wire loop and tighten it while the ribbon is still in the Bowdabra.
Next, remove the ribbon from the Bowdabra, separate the wire ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.
Use the bow wire to tie the ribbon to the jar.
Use a craft pick to twirl the ends of the bow wire. Fill your gift jar with any small goodies for a personalized gift.
Thanks for stopping by.
