Today Liz from Crafty Queens is here to show you how to make this adorable Fall scarecrow in minutes. He is adorned with a rusty wire smile and some raffia hair. For the final touch add a beautiful Bowdabra bow!
First, paint the scrap wood with some khaki paint. Next, hot glue some raffia on the wood board on each side and in the middle to represent hair. Now glue your choice of fabric across the board. Gather a strip of matching fabric on a paint stick or shim to resemble a ruffle and glue it to the fabric for a brim.
Next, glue some buttons for the eyes. Cut a popsicle stick shorter and sand the edges. Brush on some antique wax and glue it to the scarecrow for the nose. Brush on some blush for the cheeks.
Now, curl some rusty wire all around for a mile on your scarecrow. Staple to make sure his smile is secure.
Cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and place it in the Bowdabra. Next begin adding ribbon strips, fabric, and denim strips to make the bow.
Thread the loose wire through the loop and pull tight. Remove the bow from the Bowdabra, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Fluff out the bow and attach it with some hot glue to the top of the scarecrow hat. Trim up the bow to your liking. You have the most adorable fall scarecrow to add to your autumn decor!
