Sandy Sandler the creator of the Bowdabra shows you the easiest way to make a stunning hair bow in minutes. It’s like hair bow magic! These hair bows are so gorgeous and easy to make you will want to create several to give as gifts.
Materials:
Bowdabra Bowmaker
Bowdabra bow wire
Ribbon (23.5 inches)
Mini Bowdabra
Bowdabra tool and ruler
Hair clip
Glue dots or glue gun
Scissors
Instructions :
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, fold a 23.5” piece of ribbon in half to find the center. Pinch in the center to form a mountain facing up fold and place in the Mini Bowdabra.
Fold the end over at the 2” mark on the ruler. Scrunch it down leaving a tail. Now, bring the opposite end across and make sure the loop is at the 2” mark on the ruler.
Now, using the other end scrunch, it into the Bowdabra leaving a small tail. Repeat on the other side leaving a small tail as before.
Next, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Finally, separate all the loops and arrange the bow. Take a 4” piece of 5/8” ribbon and knot it in the middle. Starting with the knot in the center bring the ends to the back and attach with hot glue or glue dots. Use the excess wire to tie the bow to an alligator hair clip.
In just a few minutes with the Mini Bowdabra, you have some amazing hair bow magic! Don’t stop here. You can attach this bow to small gifts, or add to your pup’s collar too!
