Hi! I’m Lexi from the Bowdabra Design Team, along with Bubbles and Blossom, my two foster dogs, and we’re having a hair bow party! Today, we’re going to teach you how to make these cute, little, and adorable matching hair and pet bows.
Hair bows are a fun way to accessorize and add a touch of style, whether you’re dressing up your pup or wanting to try a new look yourself. Using a Mini Bowdabra, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to create beautiful bows in no time.
Bubbles and Blossom love wearing their bow accessories, and I know you and your fur friends will too! Follow along as we show you how to make these charming hair bows that are perfect for both dogs and their human companions. Let’s get started!
12”-14” strip of 1.5” wide non-wired ribbon cut into 4 pieces and dovetailed
4 matching or even mismatched corkers
Elastic Ponytail holder
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, add the precut ribbon strips. Pinch them in the middle to create a mountain up fold and place them in the Mini Bowdabra one at a time.
Next, add the corker ribbon strips in the desired colors.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Use the excess wire to tie the bows onto an elastic.
Now you can coordinate your outfits with your pets with these matching hair and pet bows
