Materials:
2-3 yards 1.5” wide wired Farmhouse striped ribbon
2-3 yards 1.5” wide wired Polka Dot ribbon
Bush of Sunflowers
Bush of a linear foliage
14” round Grapevine Wreath
Hot Glue
Instructions
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, cut a length of ribbon, and fold it into a loop approximately 4 inches with tails. Scrunch it down into the Bowdabra. Now, repeat this with the corresponding ribbon on the opposite side with the loop and tails facing the other way. (optionally you can lay in the ribbon tail, twist it, and pinch the center so the back side is facing forward, bring it across, and scrunch in to make the loop.)
Continue to make loops and tails in the same manner, alternating sides and colors or ribbons.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Dovetail all the tail ends of the bow. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Fluff and shape your bow. Use the excess wire to tie the bow to the wreath.
Embellish the wreath:
Dip sunflowers into some hot glue and insert them all around the bow. Work in the greenery all around the wreath.
